AHC National Economic Impact Study - Deadline Extended to August 18th!

The Wisconsin Horse Council is working with The American Horse Council in conducting the 2017 Economic Impact Study to get updated figures specifically for Wisconsin. The Economic Impact Study examines the impact the equine industry has on the economy.  The study measures business revenue, business wages, personnel wages, related jobs, and also looks at showing, recreation, horse racing, veterinary, and other segments of the horse industry and their effect on the state and national economy.  It will also provide demographic data for professions and related industries that are impacted by the equine industry.

The study will enable the equine industry to educate the public, the media and both national and state elected officials regarding the industry’s economic size, impact and importance. Our last survey was performed in 2007, and after the financial crisis that began in 2008, there have been many changes in horse ownership and related spending that indicates a new study is needed.  With the Economic Impact Study we can ensure that credible data is available and that decisions can be made utilizing accurate information.

Your participation in this survey is very important.  The deadline for submission is August 18th. Please take the survey and pass it on to all you know that are somehow related to the horse industry through business or pleasure.

If you have any questions, please contact Darla at darla@wisconsinhorsecouncil.org or at 920-623-0393.
Thank you in advance for your participation and help in this survey!
